Many people and organizations support The Peopling of America and
Americans All®.
They are lending their time and talents to help ensure the program's success.
Three groups deserve special mention: the Strategic Partners Council, the Advisory Council and the Board of Directors.
The Strategic Partners Council is composed of representatives of organizations with
missions that support The People of America's goals. Organizers of The People of America invited them
to participate in Americans All®. The Council will help The People of America set and attain
its goals and guide The People of America on prospective partnerships and the national rollout
of the program. It will also meet regularly with The People of America's Board of Directors
to determine the most effective way to use Council members' considerable experience
and expertise to enhance program operations. Each Strategic Partner will hold an
institutional seat on the Board of Directors as well as have its own representative
on the Strategic Partners Council. The same individual, or different individuals, can
fill these positions, and the institutional partner will determine tenure for these
seats. Currently, these organizations are represented on the Strategic Partners Council:

National Association of Secondary School Principals
National Association of Secretaries of State
National Association of State Boards of Education
National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium
National League of Cities

The Council's main meetings will occur twice each year, coinciding with the two
national meetings The People of America intends to sponsor annually. At the discretion of the
Board of Directors, Council members may serve on other foundation committees to work
on projects of interest to them. The People of America will pay all costs associated with
Council functions (e.g., travel and accommodations). Council members may also serve
on the steering committee of individual Americans All® state programs.
Council members will participate in an internal communication network that
will also include Board members, foundation staff, state specialists, and outside
consultants. The People of America will use a biweekly electronic newspaper and exhibits at
education conferences to call attention to programs, products and services that have
been developed by the organizations represented on the Strategic Partners Council and
that support The People of America's mission and goals.
The Board of Directors is the governing and decision-making body of The Peopling of
America. Its members have shown a high degree of personal interest in The People of America's
mission and goals, and they are knowledgeable and informed about The People of America's role,
structure and functioning.
The Advisory Council is composed of individuals from various disciplines whose
personal missions support the goals of The People of America. Members will offer advice on
program operations based on their areas of expertise.
